  12. I have a client who is also a good friend, who is looking to buy a
  13. good, reliable voice (fax/data) modem and software to handle calls
  14. while he is away from his medical practice office.  He needs it to be
  15. very predictable and reliable, and to forward (or at least alert) his
  16. pager when messages are left in a particular mailbox.

  18. His plan is to try to replace his human answering service with a PC.
  19.  
  20. Whether that's a wise or medically ethical choice is none of my
  21. business.

  23. Can anyone refer me to a review of voice modems and software, or just
  24. give me your opinions of what to look at, and what to avoid?
